![]() If you get the chance to try it it's a pretty fun game, and if you're a big fan of the Xenoblade games you'll likely get a kick out of the similarities. ![]() The top-down camera, RNG loot, and class system are a bit like Diablo (there's even multiplayer), but it's easy to see how a lot of its systems were built and refined into what we got in Xenoblade. Its narrative has even got the requisite anti-war themes so far, though the narrative feels a bit less of a focus in SB than in XBC. It feels like a kind of spiritual predecessor in a lot of ways and noting some of the similarities is a lot of fun as a big Xenoblade fan. ![]() I'm running around large maps with a big 2-handed sword Breaking and Launching enemies alongside my 2 AI companions and casting spells with Ether Soma, with just a little too many items clogging my inventory. Moreover it reminds me a LOT of Xenoblade Chronicles, which isn't the hugest surprise since many regard it as almost a prototype for Xenoblade. It's a fun game with a really interesting world and an amazing Yasunori Mitsuda OST. JP SFC, Romancing Saga 3, Square, No complete English translation on this console. I started up Soma Bringer (with English translation) a week before Xenoblade Chronicles DE came out and have been alternating between the two. JP DS, Soma Bringer, Monolith Soft, Top-down ARPG, widely acclaimed. ![]()
